Running the F15LPHA on my 14′ jon boat in the Louisiana marshes. Super quiet, starts on the first pull every time, and pushes the boat with ease even against current. For a 15hp, it’s got great torque. Lightweight and perfect for shallow water fishing.
Mounted this 15hp on my 14′ duck boat in Arkansas. Pull start is smooth, and I love how quiet it runs even at higher throttle. It’s compact, fuel-efficient, and feels solid — perfect for backwater hunting and fishing trips.
Installed this on my 13′ aluminum skiff around Lake Erie. Smooth performance, decent fuel efficiency, and very little vibration. Knocked off one star just because I had to adjust the idle screw a bit, but now it runs perfect.
I’m using this Yamaha on my inflatable tender near Charleston. The 20″ shaft gives great prop depth, and it handles small chop surprisingly well. The price was excellent for a Yamaha — definitely the best deal I found for this size and class.
