The Mercury 25ELHPT is a compact, lightweight four-stroke outboard motor designed for small to medium boats such as aluminum fishing boats, pontoons, inflatables, and small cruisers up to 16-18 feet. Featuring a 20-inch long shaft, it weighs 126 lbs, making it one of the most portable in its 25 HP class. The 500cc (30.5 cubic inch) inline three-cylinder engine with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) delivers strong low-end torque for quick planing and a full throttle range of 5000-6000 RPM. Its innovative multi-function tiller handle, adjustable 18 degrees port or starboard and reversible for left- or right-hand use, offers exceptional control and comfort. The motor features a 3.2-gallon external fuel tank, an electric start system for effortless ignition, and low-vibration wishbone mounts for smooth operation. Hands down the best outboard I’ve owned. The 25hp EFI pushes my 15-foot jon boat with ease, hitting 21 mph with two of us and full gear. Super efficient on gas, and the 4-stroke is so quiet I can actually talk to my fishing buddy without yelling. Zero issues after a full season. Mercury nailed it with this one.
Love this motor! It’s perfect for my small lake boat. Starts instantly, runs smooth, and trolls like a dream for fishing. Fuel economy is excellent, and it’s much quieter than my old motor. Only gripe is it’s a little tricky to tilt manually, but that’s minor. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
