The Mercury 25ELHPT is a compact, lightweight four-stroke outboard motor designed for small to medium boats such as aluminum fishing boats, pontoons, inflatables, and small cruisers up to 16-18 feet. Featuring a 20-inch long shaft, it weighs 126 lbs, making it one of the most portable in its 25 HP class. The 500cc (30.5 cubic inch) inline three-cylinder engine with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) delivers strong low-end torque for quick planing and a full throttle range of 5000-6000 RPM. Its innovative multi-function tiller handle, adjustable 18 degrees port or starboard and reversible for left- or right-hand use, offers exceptional control and comfort. Really happy with my Mercury 25hp EFI. It’s powerful, smooth, and sips fuel like nothing else. Installation was straightforward, and it’s been reliable for my weekend fishing trips. Only reason for 4 stars is the weight—it’s a bit hefty for my small trailer, but the performance makes up for it. Great motor overall!
This motor is fantastic! I upgraded from an older 2-stroke, and the difference is night and day. The EFI system makes it so easy to start, and it’s incredibly quiet. I’ve taken it out on long fishing trips, and it trolls perfectly at low speeds. Got 20 mph with three people on board. Worth every penny for the performance.
Solid motor for the price. The 25hp EFI is smooth and powerful, pushing my 17-foot canoe-style boat to 19 mph with three aboard. Great for trolling and long runs. My only issue is the initial setup took longer than expected due to unclear manual instructions, but once it was running, it’s been flawless.
Absolutely love my Mercury 25hp EFI! It’s perfect for my fishing trips on medium-sized lakes. The motor is quiet, starts easily, and has plenty of power to get my 16-foot boat moving at 20 mph with two people. Fuel consumption is low, which saves me money on long days out. Couldn’t ask for more!
