The Lowrance Point-1 GPS Antenna and Heading Sensor is a compact, high-precision NMEA 2000 position and heading device designed for marine and off-road navigation. It provides rapid and accurate boat position and speed updates at 10Hz, ideal for chartplotters and radar/chart overlay. Unlike position-only antennas, the Point-1 features an integrated electronic compass for accurate heading data at any speed, enabling chart stabilization and precise course-over-ground (COG) calculations, even at low speeds or when stationary. Fully waterproof (IPX7) and rugged, it’s suited for harsh marine and off-road environments and can be pole or surface mounted. It connects seamlessly to Lowrance HDS Gen2, HDS Gen2 Touch, Elite-7, or any NMEA 2000 network, making it a versatile choice for boats and vehicles requiring reliable GPS and heading data. Note: Not recommended for MARPA radar or autopilot functions, which require a rate-stabilized heading sensor like the RC42N.
