Running this motor on my 16′ pontoon boat in Texas lakes. Quiet, reliable, and starts right up. The 30HP gives me enough speed without sacrificing fuel economy. Happy with the purchase.
Using the 30ELHPT on a 17′ flat-bottom near the Mississippi River. Good motor for the price, but I wish the electric start was a bit quicker. Otherwise, no complaints.
Using this Mercury on a 17′ fiberglass boat around Lake Michigan. Great power and reliability, but a slight vibration at mid-throttle kept me from giving 5 stars. Overall, very solid motor.
Running the 30ELHPT on my 16′ aluminum skiff in the Florida Keys. Starts easy every time, plenty of power for shallow water, and very smooth throttle response. The 20″ shaft fits perfectly for my setup.
Installed on my 15′ jon boat in Louisiana bayous. Perfect for shallow water and calm rivers. Fuel efficient and easy to maintain. The price was surprisingly good for a Mercury motor with this much power.
